ABE'S ARAB TOUR:

To celebrate the arrival of Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzō Abe, Arab News created a special souvenir edition of the newspaper with cover wrap and commissioned a YouGov poll on Saudi / Japanese relations.

 

These findings were turned in to graphics.

The cover:

  • We commissioned an Arabic calligraphy artist to draw the Japanese word for 'Welcome' in an Arabic calligraphy style as the main focus.

  • The background words are all Arabic words for 'Welcome'.

  • When you open the newspaper it is a double page vertical poster.

  • The rising sun is our Arab News Japan Edition logo drawn by legendary Japanese Manga artist Go Nagai.
